What is GPS/GIS???

Global Positioning System (GPS) refers to a constellation of 24 satellites that can provide accurate positions anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day. These satellites are controlled and maintained by the Department of Defense, yet the positioning technology is available for civilian use.

How Does GPS Work?

Satellites emit radio signals to earth and GPS “receivers” on the ground gather the radio signals and use them to calculate the distance between the satellite and the receiver. By calculating the distance between several satellites and the receiver, accurate positions can be calculated by a procedure known as “triangulation”. Given the right circumstances, these accuracies can be within 1 centimeter.

What is GIS?

GIS refers to Geographic Information Systems. This system consists of hardware, software, and personnel that collect, manipulate, record, and analyze spatial data. Our team consists of extremely knowledgeable GIS/Geography graduates that have taken part in many large-scale projects as managers or consultants. We are confident in our skills in this industry and are positive that we can fulfill all of our clients’ needs.
